Swissarena takes a look at Swiss cultural routes and opens them up for hiking in the process. With specially developed devices for this purpose called «Rovers» you can interactively explore three of the Swiss Cultural Routes: ViaCook, ViaJacobi and ViaGottardo.
The «Rovers» are portable tablet-PCs that get their information via an interactive electronic system. The system operates in conjunction with the aerial photograph to provide more detailed information on landscapes, locations and historical events as well as cultural and tourist offers along the routes. At the same time, it draws attention to other exhibits on similar topics in the Swiss Museum of Transport.
