Since its opening in 1969, the Swiss Museum of Transport Planetarium has been a source of fascination for young and old. Beneath the 18m dome, (projection area 508m2) you will experience a breathtaking starry sky and discover the principles and the latest research findings from the world of astronomy. The classic projector enables the heavenly bodies and their movements at any desired time to be depicted from the perspective of people on Earth. This, the only large planetarium in Switzerland, belongs to an exclusive circle able to depict dome-filling moving pictures on its 508m2 area.
A cultural commitment by the Albert Koechlin Foundation AKS, Lucerne.
