This Sunday finds the museum’s Filmtheater cinema presenting a special programme for the whole family: you start by...
Steaming across the giant screen at the Filmtheatre from 4 October 2012: the new documentary "Rocky Mountain Express"! Steam engine enthusiasts are invited to join the restored "Empress" and experience the spectacular crossing of the Rocky Mountains - one of the many highlights featured in this steam-driven journey through North America.
The film weaves together spectacular aerial cinematography and driver's-eye views to create a thrillingly immersive trip through magnificent scenery - from the rugged heights lining Fraser Valley past lakes big and small, along meandering rivers and through dense forests, deep ravines and open valleys, across high mountain passes and, last but definitely not least, through the majestically massive Canadian Rockies.
