Would you like to do something useful after your death? People are increasingly considering testamentary bequests. We are proud that many people trust us and would like us to conserve transport history in their name, even after their death.
Death is a difficult subject to think about. Drawing up a will, however, is an active way in which you can arrange for your personal values to live on after your death.
Your bequest will help us to implement long-term projects and to continue your personal philosophy of life with great respect. As a non-profit-making organisation, we are exempt from inheritance duties in most cantons.
As a next of kin, you could include the following information in the death notice: "Instead of flowers, we kindly ask you to consider making a donation to the Swiss Museum of Transport: PC account number 60-4735-3, marked "first name and surname" (of the deceased)". By prior arrangement, we will gladly send you an overview of payments received, and will allocate the donations to an area or object that the deceased was particularly interested in.
Is it your final wish to benefit the Swiss Museum of Transport (in part / exclusively)? We will treat your wishes with the utmost discretion and introduce you to competent specialists. Please contact, in confidence, Thomas Barthelt, 041 375 75 40 or email@example.com.
