Of pitchforks and drones: Agriculture today

Visit our new exhibition "Of pitchforks and drones: Agriculture today" and learn about the sustainable Swiss agricultural and food industry in our gigantic barn: from technologies, nutrient cycles, energy and mobility to biodiversity and the various professions involved.

Swiss agriculture brings together extensive knowledge of livestock farming and crop production with exceptional craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. The farmers use drones, robots for weeding and milking as well as self-driving tractors. At the same time, however, they also rely on tried and tested cultivation methods and their many years of experience with livestock and crop production.

There are ten thousand farmers working in the Swiss agricultural sector, in addition to numerous experts in related fields such as veterinarians, food technologists, logistics specialists and retailers. They work hard each and every day to ensure that the food that ends up on our plates is safe and sustainably produced. Today and in the future. In this exhibit, we want to tell their stories.
