The Space Travel exhibition at the Swiss Museum of Transport boasts a fresh new look. In the presence of Suzan G. LeVine, US Ambassador to Switzerland, Prof. Claude Nicollier, Swiss Astronaut, Urs Frei from the Swiss Space Office and Eugen Elmiger, CEO of Maxon Motor, Switzerland’s spaceflight scene celebrated the re-opening with a world premiere.
The area devoted to space travel in the Aviation Hall has been significantly extended. Visitors are now immersed in the past, present and immediate future of space flight. Particular attention has been paid to the achievements of Switzerland’s aerospace industry. What has emerged is a thematic experience unique in the country. The new exhibition together with the Planetarium and Filmtheater provide the ideal environment for focusing on aerospace and space travel.
