Space Explorers – The ISS Experience

Have you always wanted to know what everyday life is like on the ISS space station? Join the astronauts in the planetarium through the narrow corridors of this technical masterpiece and be amazed.

You think life in weightlessness is easy and fun? You'd better think again. Because things can get terribly confusing when "up" and "down" are not what they seem and you are floating instead of going from place to place. Your first days in space could therefore be a terribly awkward experience.

With "Space Explorers - The ISS Experience" you will now gain your own impression of life on board the space station. You will learn about the challenges that space travellers have to overcome. The unique production was created with the expertise and groundbreaking technology of Montreal-based studio Felix & Paul, which was able to bring specially manufactured 360-degree cameras on board the ISS with permission from NASA. The four-part epic, which follows eight astronauts on their life-changing mission, is probably the most ambitious film project ever made in space. Adapt" is about adapting to the unfamiliar conditions on board. How do the space travellers cope with weightlessness and spatial confinement? Under the planetarium dome, we experience the almost transformative effect of floating in space on our own bodies.

In the German-language live part, we find the current position of the space station above the Earth with the planetarium's real-time simulation options and recognise once again the fragility of our world when looking at the blue sphere in the dark infinity from on board.

With 15-minute live part (only in German).
