Why should you visit the Filmtheatre?
With the largest permanently installed screen in Switzerland (25.5 m × 14 m), state-of-the-art 4K laser projection and a powerful Dolby Surround 7.1 sound system, you will experience a unique immersive movie experience.
Why is the Filmtheatre no longer an IMAX theater?
Formerly an IMAX cinema, the movie theater ended its partnership with IMAX in 2010. This gave it more flexibility in its film selection and it can now offer a wider range of films, from spectacular documentaries to the latest blockbusters.
Which films will be shown?
The daytime program features high-quality documentaries in 2D and 3D on topics such as nature, space, adventure, art and science. In the evening program, feature films, animated films and live broadcasts of operas, ballets and classical concerts are shown.
