Hans Ernis panels for UNESCO

Special exhibition from 09.06.2022 - 09.06.2024

The Hans Erni Museum has received on permanent loan from the Federal Art Collection the 13 panels that the artist created in 1949 for the UNESCO exhibition at the Kongresshaus in Zurich. In the exhibition, the panels, which were intended to visualize the ideas of UNESCO, were juxtaposed with busts of Swiss personalities who, like Albrecht von Haller, Gottfried Keller, Charles Ferdinand Ramuz and Heinrich Wölfflin, "embody a cosmopolitan country that seeks international exchange in research and culture and is committed to upholding human rights." These impressive, brightly colored panels have recently been restored and are now on display again after decades!
