Time travel - experience historical films anew

Experience a piece of Swiss cultural and film history in Switzerland's largest planetarium! Our free weekend lunchtime show "Time Travel" takes you on a journey through the fascinating world of early 360° film experiments, which continue to amaze us today.

About the programme

On show is a rarity that can only be seen at the Swiss Museum of Transport’s Planetarium.

‘Rund um Rad und Schiene’ (1964) – A cinematic highlight of Expo 64, which was shown at the time in a spectacular large-scale installation in the Circarama format. The film celebrates Switzerland’s mobility and technical progress through impressive 360-degree images.

Zeitreise offers a rare opportunity to rediscover these digitally restored historical cinematic gems in their original panoramic format – right in the heart of the modern planetarium.
