Alpine Symphony. The mountain in art

Special exhibition from 17.03. - 19.06.2022

The motif of the mountain runs continuously through Hans Erni's work, from his early figurative paintings from the 1940s to his later work. Reason enough to dedicate an exhibition to the depiction of mountains at the Hans Erni Museum. It spans the arc from the increasing exploration of the mountains in the 18th century to the development of tourism in the 19th century and the growing threat in the 20th and 21st centuries.

The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog and a rich program of events.
