Humans have long dreamed of flying to Mars – and even of colonising it. Until that becomes reality, various Mars rovers are exploring the surface of the Red Planet. We have full-sized remote-controlled and semi-autonomous rovers in a deceptively real Mars landscape. These fascinating vehicles also have a connection with Switzerland: some of the drive motors and sensors are made by the Maxon Motor company from Sachseln.
