Make a Virtual Ascent of the Matterhorn
Innovative VR technology is combined with 360° film production so you can climb the Matterhorn in Lucerne as part of a unique, visionary experience.
After a video briefing with Red Bull athlete Jérémie Heitz and his friend and Zermatt mountain guide Sam Anthamatten, it's time to get going. Equipped with VR goggles and climbing harnesses, they head towards the summit of the Matterhorn. With the equipment, they head up the climbing wall. Wind simulations and the authentic soundscape ensure an unconditional fusion of the virtual and real worlds. Once you arrive at an altitude of 4,478 meters above sea level, you can enjoy the breathtaking view - a feeling of happiness otherwise only known to mountaineers. But be careful! Red Bull The Edge is not for the faint-hearted and an adrenaline rush is inevitable. Experience the next generation of virtual reality.
Opening times and reservation
The Edge is only open at certain times. Please check the current opening times via the "Tickets" button. Admission to The Edge is not included in the Swiss Museum of Transport ticket. A prior reservation is required for the visit via the attached ticket button.
